Batch compression

Drop in many images at once. Compress them as a batch.

Free up to 20 per batch, with all three quality modes: Smart, High fidelity and Maximum.

  1. Drop in a batch

Open MiniPic and drag multiple images into the window at once, up to 20 per batch for free.

  2. Choose quality and format

Choose Smart, High fidelity or Maximum; keep the original format, or convert to WebP, PNG or JPEG.

  3. Compare each result

Compression happens on your computer, and you can compare each image before and after with a slider.

Right-click to compress

Right-click to compress, right in Finder or File Explorer.

Select images, right-click and choose “Compress with MiniPic”: a small capsule window pops up, and it’s done in moments. Single and multiple images are both free; on Windows 11, the option is under “Show more options”.

Overwrite in place, originals backed up

Originals are backed up automatically before compression, so you can restore them in one click if you’re not happy.

Save to a folder you choose

Leave the originals alone and save the compressed results as separate copies.

⌥⇧C

On Mac, press ⌥⇧C to compress the images selected in Finder.

Convert to WebP

Convert to WebP and compress.

“Convert to WebP and compress” in the right-click menu converts and compresses in one step; originals move to the Trash first, so you can restore them. You can also choose WebP as the output format in the workspace.
